    Bad Neighborhood Links

    04 June 2011 - 11:09 AM

We all heard that linking to "bad" websites is not a good SEO practice. But to what extent? I see lots of link providers do not want to have links to porn or gambling websites. But is there any evidence that these will have bad effect to the quality of other links on the website?

I can see why Google can devalue outgoing links if you are linking to a website with a malicious virus or to a link farm with thousands links. But that linking to PR5 gambling or adult website can have some negative effects sounds not convincing to me.

So is this a SEO myth or it is based on facts?
