Ok I'm a lazy ass and a tight wad so I cant be bothered searching - anyway everything I've read about UAW is either commission driven or pre-panda - but I'm thinking about investing some cash in a blog network service. UAW seems to be the best as far as I can tell but does anyone have real experience and I mean getting rankings not just pi$$ing about :) with UAW Or are these networks largely discounted post Panda - thanks guys (and gals!)

    I still use them
I would say they are effective as long as you index your links

more link diversity is always better, I wouldnt have it as my only way of backlinking

Without a doubt it still works but make sure you spin well. I'm talking at sentence and word level. If you don't put any effort in you will get small results but that extra bit of elbow grease pays dividends.

You have to be really careful and try the services out for youself

    You'll see case studies like

They are all "case studies" done by the owner. Never believe a sales man

As somebody advertising seo services in their footer you should really know the difference between a blog network and UAW. UAW is not a blog network. Also every keyword and ranking is dependant upon its competition. You would have to try it out for yourself as UAW may work wonders with one KW and do nothing with another.

Its does work up to a point.. depends on how you use it and what type of competition you are aiming for. I did a brief article on the best article marketing techniques >> Article Marketing How to Do it Effectively

I've been using UAW for the past 6 months. The results are good for medium to low competition keyword. The thing is you need to submit articles to UAW consistently to keep your ranking.

The best part I enjoy UAW is the scheduling. You can outsource UAW type article to your team and let them post into the network by schedule. Then it would be hands off.

Well, thanks for the responses guys. Despite one stupid nit picky comment most of you have been helpful but like most of the stuff to do with SEO its boiled down to a case of 'try it and see'.

What I can report is that 1 month in (almost) its generally positive. Its an easy way to build backlinks but I have to say the quality of the network looks a little bit off - lots of PR0/NA root domains and a few not founds etc. However, rankings are up generally so who cares :) and it takes me less than 15 mins/day with Vita Vees spinnables so its not exactly working for a living.

Thumbs up? Yep - so far its looking good and I will be renewing.
To the genuine repliers - thank you - to the nit pickers - get a life!

Yep, still effective. Easy way to get links with content, and they do combine it with some distribution to sites who use article software and blogs...but in the end....article site...blog site...who cares what the difference is?

If it can help your rankings by distributing content on it, and get links that improve your rankings, that is what matters.
