Just wondering if this issue happens to anyone else since their tech support didn't see any issues: I will be working on a site in Wordpress, and it just randomly isn't responsive and/or times out when I click a sidebar button, change a setting, etc... I don't have this problem with any other host but for some reason every couple of minutes I will get an issue where Wordpress just fails to respond.

all seems fine on my end...

I am having 1 shared hosting account and a VPS (Level 3) with Hostgator plus 2 more shared account with partners.

I'd contact support and ask what's going on, with their awesome chat support you'll have an answer in 3 minutes...

    Cheers!

I just checked again and the shared account cpanels are responding somewhat slower then the VPS. I also worked just now on 2 sites on the shared account (both WP) and the response time was very normal..

^yeah it will work fine for 90% of the time you're changing stuff. It just happens every few minutes while working on a site where it slows down and becomes unresponsive for a few seconds. It's more of an annoyance than anything serious, but oh well. Their support didn't see anything wrong either, however myself and my brother who doesn't live with me have noticed this issue. Now I can see it is confirmed here.

    Exactly the same problem here...!

I have contacted their support and they told me "everything looks normal on our side" and bla bla bla + a screenshot of machine resources...

I am quite worry, I have several sites there...

I e-mailed support. Will update when I get a response from higher-ups that can figure out why this is happening.

I've been experiencing the same lately with some new sites on hostgator. Having battled through a number of front line support staff i was able to get to someone who knew what they were talking about and it appears to be an issue with a network provider at some point between my ISP and hostgator's network. Out of curiosity, can you do a traceroute to one of the affected domains and see if it passes through the comcast network?

^I believe that's what my issue is as well. It's just weird that only Hostgator is affected. Makes me think that it's someone that's providing them bandwidth which has the problem.

Yeah it's definitely a problem with one of the hops before hostgator, sadly these things are unlikely to be fixed in a hurry... Thankfully I only have a couple of new sites on there so i'll probably give them a couple of weeks to see if improves, if not i'll be moving them to an alternative host.

I guess Im not imagining things.

My hostgator shared account is great, no problems. But my reseller is slow when i am using wordpress. It freezes all the time and I have to open new windoes to continue. This has been going on for at least a month.

Contacted them 3 times and they say everything looks good on their end.

Its time to find another reseller.

    Has anyone used hostnine?
