Any chance of increasing the number of standard reports from 10 for the starter subscription?

It is unlikely. We are working at making the service faster and adding new possibilities - it all requires resources. There's a standard subscription which makes it possible to add 50 reports per months.

Good move. You need more processing power, because you still cannot report as many valid backlinks as Majestic SEO.

But you are now better at one thing than Majestic SEO: your reported backlinks are always valid, whereas Majestic SEO reports a lot of non-existent backlinks (the backlinks existed when the Majestic bot crawled it, but now they are deleted).

A PR checker would be a killer feature!!!

Perhaps, if compare live links, we don't even lag behind. Sure thing, it is quite difficult to compete with the base gathered for 5 years, but the percentage of live links there might be rather low, if they were checked several years ago for the last time. Btw, today came across an interesting comparison of backlink checker tools - PCplein.nl - backlink checkers compared part 2

    Nice site Ahrefs,
If you had report on the deleted links in the xls file that would be great and really help with the BL strategy. Otherwise looks like you have a winner here. Just signed up.

One feature that is missing is the Dates that the links were found, this would be valuable since you can track the new campaings of competitors etc.

We've been planning to launch API in the end of August, but already now we get many letters with API request and in connection with the fact that Yahoo Site Explorer API is going to be shut down, we've decided to launch version 0.1, which may be used right now.

    Current API version enables:
1.to see links on the indicated domain, directory or URL
2.to see info about pages on a domain or in a directory

More advanced options will come, as promised, in August. To read more about API 0.1, follow this link - Ahrefs

Do you have an API for this?

Just a few methods to be able to get a list of backlinks for a given domain or anchor text would be huge.

I think API would be really cool as YSE is going to die soon.

I have sent him PM too. ;)

Date is already available in API and Standard reports. Soon it will also be found in Site Explorer. News regarding PR will come later - we are now working at developing more qualitative page rank value if compared to PR

This tool looks amazing! I'm loving it so far...

Is there any way to look at link growth over more than the previous month?

Also, if I see a spike on June 15th, how do I isolate which links were part of this spike?

    Thanks a ton!

Damn this tool is freaking good. Better than yahoo, majestic seo & opensiteexplorer. Also, they are planning to improve it.

This tool keeps improving. If only you would display the page rank of the backlinks!
