I know it isn't an ideal form of getting traffic, but social bookmarking sites are some help. I used Stumbleupon quite a bit myself, it doesn't get a ton of traffic, but it does help get some.

Here are some things you can do to guarantee some traffic.

Make sure to thumb up your home page, forum page, blog, etc. Also, whenever you make a new post or article thumb that up as well. I've seen traffic roll in pretty fast at times.

One thing I should warn you about though, sometimes doing too much of this can actually create far too much traffic. Someone I know did it with their forum and it shut the site down for a day or so.

I've had stumbleupon bring traffic to a product based "stumble" for a few weeks, pretty much by accident. So if you're really trying with super content, this could take off.

You can also buy SU traffic pretty inexpensively. In my experience, it was not buying traffic but it may be different for you.

Interesting to hear your getting traffic from StumbleUpon, I've had very little in the past, might need to re-examine that, do you mind specifying how much traffic precisely it has brought you and how much you think it potentially could, to your site I mean. I want to understand if it's "really" worth putting the time into.

Really? I don't spend much time to stumbleupon for it didn't bring more traffic to me, just minimal. I'm glad hearing someone using this.
